2026 Twilight Wine and Food Tastings

Briefing for Stall Holders on 11th and 18th of September

 

Key logistics:

Location:                  St John’s Anglican Church

Service Time:           4pm to 7:30pm

Bump-in:                 From 2:30pm, all cars need to be removed by 3:45. Please note entry and exit on the layout plans. Be mindful of others and unload quickly, then remove your car and then set up.

Bump-out:               From 7:30pm. We will monitor how busy the event is and depending on weather and foot traffic might close earlier but please don’t pack up before we call it. If in doubt come to the MWA stall to check.

Parking:                   On the lawn behind the church. There is also an entrance from Short Street.

Lights & Deco:         BYO Stall. BYO solar/battery lights to illuminate stalls and be creative as you want (practice run for flavours, last light is at 6:16pm) The Church grounds are illuminated from around 6.15pm. But your own lighting is recommended

Power:                     Power is only available for food stalls requiring power to cook food.

Seats & Heat:          We will have 4 barrels and 5 heaters for customers to stand at. There are also the two picnic tables on the lawn next to the MWA stall.

General:                   Smoking and Vapours are not permitted within the Church Grounds

 

Financials/ Booking

Stall Fee:                  $40. Book your stall online via www.themudgeemarkets.com. You can pay by any Credit card or PayPal.

                                 Customers can book their tumblers online.

Tickets:                     Entry is free. Customers can pre-purchase tumbler online or buy on the day. Customers who pre-purchased an event tumbler online are entered into the draw to win a $250 Mudgee Wine 6-pack (Mudgee Gold)

Tumblers:                Only MWA tumblers can be used. Price is $15 per event tumbler. Tumbler required for alcohol tastings or purchase by the glass.

Refunds:                  If the event is cancelled then we will refund the full stallholder fees, less $10 that will have been sent on marketing.

                                 Customers who pre-purchased tumblers online will be refunded $13 per tumbler.

 

 

Serving of alcohol:

We want to provide a simple and consistent experience for customers, so please stick to the below pouring guidelines.

RSA:                         Please make sure you observe RSA guidelines and any stall staff serving alcohol have their RSA card on them in case random checks will be done.

Tasting:                    3 x 25 ml ($5)
No free tastings of alcohol. Make sure to charge before pouring. It is your direct revenue, rather than using tokens.

Glass:                       150ml ($10)

Bottle:                      Only take-away sale is allowed under the liquor licence. Bottle consumption is not allowed at the event premises!

 

Tasting of food samples:

It is important that all food and safety rules are followed.

Food stalls will be responsible for providing rubbish bins for any food waste and removing from grounds.

Marketing:

 

An extensive marketing campaign will be undertaken to promote the event. This includes.

Radio:                      30 x 30 second Radio Ads will be run on 2mg and Rock Fm along with a number of free announcements.

Banners:                  Banners will be erected on the Tennis Court Wire as well at the front of the Church.

Internet:                   The event will be promoted on the Councils What’s on in Mudgee wed site. As well as the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse site.
